Nutrition

CLCC participates in the Child and Adult Food Program regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture. This ensures that all the meals and snacks served meet certain nutrition requirements developed for healthy kids.

All staff at CLCC are trained on safe food handling and are food handler certified in the state of Illinois.

Breakfast

Consists of milk, fruits or vegetables, and grains. Up to 3 times a week, meat or other protein may be served instead of a grain.

Lunch

Consists of milk, grains, meat or other protein, fruits and vegetables.


AM/PM Snack

Consists of two different servings from the five components: milk, fruit, vegetables, grains, or meat or other protein.
